DIY Non-Toxic Lip & Cheek Stick
You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.
Song of Solomon 4:7
He has made everything
beautiful in its time.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
Sister, don't you just LOVE being a woman? The flowers! The lashes! The colors! What a blessing it is to get to be such a beautiful example of the Creator's artistry. All of us! At every age, in every race, in all seasons of life. Being a girl is just FUN.... This DIY Non-Toxic Lip & Cheek Stick project is a little messy but oh SO WORTH IT just to have a deep color and smooth texture I love, without any harmful chemicals at all!
My favorite lip color is dark but natural, and a little matte, but I want my lips to feel moisturized-and this is where most matte lipsticks fail miserably, the lip feel with the many store bought matte lip colors that I've tried over the years, even the pure ones, is dry and unmoveable. I hate that! Enter DIY...the audacious idea that we can do it better at home. Lol
And guess what, it's TRUE. This recipe is proof positive-WE'VE. GOT. THIS.
As you can tell by the title, this DIY Non-Toxic Lip & Cheek Stick pulls double duty as a beautiful lip color, and a perfect natural blush! The base is beeswax, healthy oils, and shea butter, and the pigments are simply- natural red clay and cocoa powder. Your initial investment will be about the cost of one high-end tube of lipstick in the cosmetics world, but you will be able to make about fifty tubes or more.
