TEA is an infusion made only with leaves from the Camellia sinensis plant. Which is a species of evergreen shrub or small tree in the flowering plant family Theaceae, which is where we get the name “TEA”, or Thé in French.
The different teas- Black, White, Green, Yellow, Pu-erh, Purple, Oolong, and Matcha-are all from the SAME PLANT-Camellia sinensis, but differ in the timing and way they are grown, harvested, dried, fermented, oxidized, processed, stored, and served. Any other plant material that is steeped, is considered a tisane or herbal infusion.

Genmaicha is one of my favorites! Pronounced with a hard G, as in, GREAT, Genmaicha is a blend of high polyphenol sencha green tea, and toasted brown rice.
First introduced in Asia so that the poor could afford to drink green tea along with the wealthy, the flavor is so loved that it became a staple and just as revered as straight green tea.
I added organic MACE for another dimension of flavor and healing in this wonderfully unique blend.
Each beautiful, reusable canister contains 40+ servings of tea.
Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10

Strength & Joy Genmaicha Wellness Tea
Organic Sencha Green Tea: The most abundant catechin (a type of polyphenol) in sencha tea is Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), which protects body cells against oxidation, heart disease, lowers cholesterol, helps fight depression and prevents aging.
Sencha also contains L-Thanine which allows for a significantly greater tolerability of caffeine in Green Tea compared to coffee and black tea, and can help fight anxiety.
Organic Brown Rice: Helps lower blood pressure, helps prevent some cancers, is high in antioxidants, and heart healthy.
Organic Mace: Helps with digestion, reduces inflammation, improves circulation, and is used to treat nausea, headaches!

For a single serving: Add 1t to 8oz of 195 degree spring, or filtered water, steep for no more than 2 minutes. For a stronger brew, add more tea, a longer steep causes the water to absorb the tannins which in turn reduces the health benefits and makes the tea bitter!
