Emerald's Super Natural Birth Wellness Tisane was made by request for my niece, and a Christ honoring Doula, and Birth Educator that reached out asking for NORA tea. (Nettles, Oatstraw, Red Raspberry Leaf, and Alfalfa.)
Each beautiful, reusable canister contains 30 servings of tisane.
God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at the break of day. Psalm 46:5
He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms;
he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.
Isaiah 40:11

Super Natural Birth Labor and Delivery Wellness Tisane
- Organic Alfalfa: Alfalfa contains iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sulfur, chlorine, sodium, potassium, silicon, trace elements, vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin K, and essential amino acids. Also, alfalfa contains the highest chlorophyll content of any plant! It helps fight digestion issues, jaundice, and blood clotting disorders. Historically, alfalfa has been used to encourage lactation in nursing mothers.
- Organic Blueberries: Consuming blueberries during pregnancy has been shown to reduce stress, promote heart and immune health, and decrease the likelihood of constipation. Blueberries can also help prevent premature birth and aid in the baby's bone development!
- Organic Chamomile: Research was done to study the effect of chamomile on inducing delivery in post-term pregnancy. The findings showed that labor started in 92.5% of the chamomile group and 62.5% of the placebo group one week from the start of taking daily chamomile! That's promising! Chamomile is also effectively calming so it's wonderful for the mom that may be feeling a little anxious about labor and delivery.
- Organic Nettle: Nettle tea is packed with vitamins and minerals including vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, potassium, iron, & magnesium. It is high in vitamins and minerals, particularly iron, silica and potassium, and is antifungal as well. Nettle tea also has antimicrobial, antiulcer, antibacterial and anti-anxiety properties.
- Organic Oatstraw: The alkaloids in Oatstraw make it wonderful for calming anxiety. Oat straw can also relieve feelings of exhaustion and depression, help reduce blood pressure and balance your hormone production, which could in turn help prevent pregnancy related varicose veins and hemorrhoids.
- Organic [Pink] Rose Petals: Rose Petals have numerous health benefits including detoxifying the body, helping cool you down, improving mood and sleep, fighting aging and more. For labor and delivery Rose has been shown to reduce stress and tension.
- Organic Red Raspberry Leaf: Studies have found that red raspberry leaf tea can tone the uterus, and shorten the length of labor. And great news! Those who ingest raspberry leaf might be less likely to receive an artificial rupture of their membranes, requiring a cesarean section, forceps, or vacuum birth!
- Organic Rosehips: Rosehips not only contains immune system boosting vitamin C, it also helps your body absorb and use more of the Vitamin C that you consume. It's also a mild laxative which stimulates digestion and helps prevent constipation, and rosehip tea can have pain-relieving effects as well, so it's wonderful in preparing your body for labor!
For a single serving: Add 1t to 8oz of boiling spring, or filtered water, let tisane infuse for at least 10 minutes. Drink as is, or add honey to taste. Serve hot, or over ice.
For a quart batch: Infuse 4t in 4 cups boiling water for 10 minutes or up to ten hours. Strain and store in the fridge.
